Another VacMaster model shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who is currently looking for a vacuum cleaner for his car. This company specializes in making extremely well-rounded products for a fraction of the cost of the big names out there. This particular model can also turn into a blower and is good for both wet and dry cleaning, adding to its appeal. The VacMaster Beast Series Professional Vacuum is a great bang for the buck that deserves a place in any top 5 car detailing vacuums list.
Our Verdict: As a whole, the BEAST series from VacMaster is a line of vacs that are good budget options for your garage. They have a few downsides such as a motor that heats up easily, and a suspiciously bad customer service but other than that, you get way more than your money’s worth with the powerful cleaning capabilities of these models and the rest of their features.
Let’s get on with this review now and see where this vacuum excels and where it falls behinds its competition…
Overview & Features
Really, the core of this model is its affordability. Everything else comes second here since most people will get it mainly because it is the same on paper as some models that are double the price. But does those paper-metrics match the overall performance? Well… not quite.
Motor And Cleaning Capabilities of Vacmaster Beast
The motor here is a 5.5 peak HP high-efficiency one that has a ton of suction power. In fact, this vacuum is great if you want to clean cloth car upholstery after you’ve washed it. Still, that much power in a motor that isn’t well-built is going to create one specific issue – overheating. That is an even bigger issue during wet cleaning. A lot of users have reported issues mainly during the wet cleaning phase, where the vacuum heats up far too much after just a few minutes of cleaning. Still, that isn’t a widespread issue.
What is bad about this is that whenever your unit goes bad, the first thing you will do is contact support or look to use your warranty to replace/fix your unit. That is when cheap products show, as the support you get from VacMaster isn’t quite perfect.
The dirt tank here is 5 gallons which is more than enough for cleaning your car and garage. The handle on top of the “BEAST” makes it extremely easy to carry around, especially combined with the integrated hose and cord storage. The power cord is 18 feet which replaces the need of a super-long hose, similar to some wall-mounted vacuums. The hose is 7 feet and is made out of crush-proof EVA material. That is ideal for cleaning around your car’s tricky terrain.
The blower option here adds a lot to the cleaning potential. It can be turned on with a push of a button and is great for blowing leaves out of your garage or larger dirt particles from within your car before you get into the more fine-cleaning.
You’d think that the cheap price would warrant very few accessories or none at all, like some other brands do, but you get a surprising amount for your money here. Check out what you get inside your package:
- 7 feet kink-resistant EVA hose
- A utility nozzle
- A crevice tool
- Special car nozzle (doesn’t mar plastic surfaces)
- A fine dust cartridge filter
- Foam filter for wet cleaning
- High-efficiency dust bag
- Noise diffuser
One of our complaints as a whole with this vacuum is the lack of HEPA filtration but then again, that would’ve been a small miracle at that price point.
If you are looking for something slightly more heavy-duty, we suggest checking out the VacuMaid GV50PRO Wall-mounted vacuum cleaner. It is ideal for your garage and thanks to its 50 feet hose it can easily clean any part of your car even if it’s parked in the driveway.

Conclusion & Rating
Product Rating:
As a conclusion, we can say that the VacMaster Beast Series Professional Vacuum is one of the better sub-100$ car detailing options out there. It comes with a ton of cleaning attachments, has a decently long hose and power cord, and is easy to carry around thanks to its weight and handle. The 5-gallon gallon along with the 5.5 HP motor create a good vacuum cleaning combination that should be enough to satisfy most people’s tastes. Even though it is a wet and dry cleaning vac, we think that it really needs some improvement in the wet cleaning department and if you plan on using it for hours at a time, there are a better (but also more expensive) options out there with more reliable motors. We gave it a four and a half out of five stars rating.
