Car vacuum cleaners are especially convenient because they are lightweight and portable in most cases. Still, some models offer you a two-in-one functionality with the option of being able to easily clean your garage floor or even the driveway. This is where wall-mounted options like the VacuMaid GV50PRO Car Vacuum are worth considering. It can easily be mounted to any wall and will be able to reach and clean anything in a 50ft. diameter thanks to its hose. These vacuums are also quite easy to empty and this one right here even has a HEPA filtration system in place.
Our Verdict: With a 50 feet hose, a corrosion-resistant body, a HEPA-styled bag, and a plethora of other features, the VacuMaid GV50PRO is definitely something you need to put on your shortlist. Of course, portability is out of the question here, since it will hardly move throughout its wall-mounted life, but in return you get great suction power, excellent attachment options, and an all-in-one cleaning option for perhaps the dirtiest area in your house. Apart from the lack of portability, one of the other major downsides of this vacuum is that it just costs too much for someone that is looking for an affordable and convenient car cleaning option.

Overview & Features
One of the main appeals of this vacuum cleaner is that it is powerful enough to handle commercial work. Apart from car detailing, people with workshops or ones who work in large areas that tend to get dirty are especially fond of wall-mounted models. The main reasons is that you don’t have to drag a vacuum behind yourself all the time and just have to hold the hose and clean up.
Speaking of that, another strong point here is that the hose features a crush-proof design meaning that it won’t stop sucking if you bend it around something. Overall, durability here is on par with the price. The body features a powder-coated steel frame that is rust-free and scratch-resistant. This is the reason why a lot of car mechanics or car detailers get these kinds of vacuums for their shops and consider them a necessary long-term investment.
Power and Cleaning
The potent Ametek lamb brushed by-pass motor is one of the preferred ones for high-end vacuum cleaners and that is exactly what you are getting here.
It easily picks up any dirt and fine dust from your car interior and seats. It also isn’t very loud which is a welcome advantage although that isn’t a factor for most people looking for a wall-mounted shop vac.
Maintenance
The dust bag inside the vacuum cleaner is really easy to take out and dispose of. It also is a multi-layered sealed HEPA-styled bag, meaning that the dust and dirt will go straight through your vacuum in it and into the trash after that without getting back into the air. It is rated to filter out 99% of the particles in the air.
The vacuum itself is held closed with two clamps at the top and once you open the lid you read it’s “stomach” where the only thing you will find is the dust bag.
With over 7 gallons capacity, this vacuum won’t make you clean it regularly and is convenient for people that clean every once in a while. Still, even if you don’t clean that often, our advice is to take out the bag and clean it at least once a week to prevent mould and other materials building up inside, especially if you’ve used it for wet cleaning.
Important: If you are planning on using the VacuMaid for something other than dry cleaning, make sure you get the wet cleaning attachment which is sold separately.
Attachments
In terms of attachments, this vacuum is quite generous, although we don’t like the fact that the wet cleaning kit doesn’t come included in the base package.
Still, you get the crush-proof 50 feet hose, a caddy, some extra wands, a dusting brush, floor brush, and an upholstery brush. You also get a metal crevice tool but that isn’t ideal for delicate car parts on the inside since it will scratch anything made out of plastic if you aren’t careful.
Another attachment you get is the actual wall-mounter which is very easy to install and once you have that on the wall, you can take the vacuum on or off just by lifting it up and away.
One thing that we like to add is that the service quality of VacuMaid is market-leading. Few are the brands that will offer you a better 24/7 support phone line that will help you out in case something happens with your unit. The warranty is also very user-oriented.

Conclusion & Rating of Vacuum Cleaner GV50PRO
Product Rating:
If we compare this wall-mounted vacuum cleaner to the rest of the car detailing models out there it will definitely beat them in almost all aspects but we do realize that some people are after the convenience of a handheld vacuum that can swiftly clean your car’s interior in case you are in a hurry. The VacuMaid GV50PRO also isn’t the cheapest model out there but if you treat it as a long-term investment that doubles down as a garage cleaner, it starts to make sense. We gave it a solid score of four and a half out of five stars.
